Transfiguration

Transfiguration:
to change in one’s appearance.
Three times this has happened;
a fourth we wait for still.

Blank matter, the omniverse
as stem cells brimming with
potential. Without shape,
without form, matter waits
for the master poet to craft
it into a masterpiece to
display beauty, to reveal glory.

The Light, gentle with power,
calls out, “Let there be.” The
stem cells explode into action,
the omniverse takes shape. Each
universe a poem, each star a stanza.
Every planet a line in creation’s song.
The first transfiguration with a bang.

Transfiguration:
to change in one’s appearance.
Three times this has happened;
a fourth we wait for still.

Incarnate Life lies lifeless in the small
cave carved into the rocky hillside.
Life came in the power of Love to
show the very world he made as
its Light the way of Love. Instead,
the world murdered him with
false accusations, lies of death.

The Light calls out to him, “You are
my son, rise.” Air enters his lungs.
Life rises, unbound by death, free
from decay, radiating divine glory.
The Light has judged that Life is
true. Life cascades his perfect Love.
The second transfiguration rises.

Transfiguration:
to change in one’s appearance.
Three times this has happened;
a fourth we wait for still.

In a flash an atom is ripped apart,
unleashing its energies upon an
unsuspecting city. Hundreds of
thousands swallowed up in the
heat of the Great Cloud. The great
enemy has been swallowed up.
Freedom has been won for all.

The Great Cloud billowing up flashes
before the world, and lays bare the
sheer Enlightened mind of man; that
he is now able to render the smallest
block of life asunder. How reasonable
it is to kill so many in so small an act.
The third transfiguration radiates.

Transfiguration:
to change in one’s appearance.
Three times this has happened;
a fourth we wait for still.

A twinkle, a flash, a marshaling
trumpet sounds across the lands.
The Light opens up the sky and
Life returns to the place he once
called home; a place that loved
him so much it murdered him; a
place he promised to return.

The Life, radiating the fiery glory
of Light, steps down to the earth
and life grows outwards from his
touch. His Love hovers above the
waters and changes the world to
match his image: a mirror to shine
the Light of Life in Love for all.

A fourth transfiguration the world
longs to know, to see, to feel. Evil
and death are swallowed up like
light escaping a black hole. The
Light shows the way, Life invigorates
the people to live through Love.
The fourth transfiguration begins anew.

Transfiguration:
to change in one’s appearance.
Three times this has happened;
the fourth dawns over the horizon.
